The change begins with the last year iPhone X. Even the name was not like traditional devices it didn't call as iPhone 8 but iPhone X. It is a huge change that made the rethinking of device generation and it was the beginning of face ID unlocking, new gesture system, and an edge-to-edge screen. So iOS 12 review will not be that good one. Because iOS12 would have been faster, more stable update than previous iOS11  version ( but it's not). If you are looking more matured way at Apple's new iOS12 you may find out every cons it has even before starting to use it. You may remember Apple's new feature group face time with 32 people, I know you all were waiting for that right? So did me! But guess what it is delayed. maybe it won't release. This is the first disappointment that  Apple is not ready to launch it.

So in the real world iOS 12 will not be most exciting update we all were waiting for. It should have more advanced features but it doesn't.
